Vector Tracer
Trace bitmap images to SVG paths for Cricut, Silhouette, and plotters. Free online vector tracer that runs in your browser.
About this tool
Vector Tracer converts a bitmap into SVG path data for cutters and plotters (Cricut, Silhouette, and similar). Simplify paths when you need faster cuts or cleaner seams.
Best for: Logos, silhouettes, and high‑contrast line art that must become SVG paths for cutting machines.
How to use it
- Start from a clean silhouette or high‑contrast graphic (not a soft photo).
- Run the trace and inspect path density in the preview.
- Increase simplification if the cutter would choke on tiny segments.
- Download SVG and open it in your cutter software for weed/cut settings.
Common problems and tips
- Too many tiny paths; the cutter stalls. Increase path simplification, start from a higher‑contrast silhouette, or reduce image resolution before tracing.
- Photo tracing looks messy. Trace silhouettes or logo art, not photographic gradients. Use Silhouette Maker or Background Remover first.
